Our Project Guide: How a Cardboard Project Works
A project with Karton Design often starts with an idea. Sometimes there is already a clear design, while other times there is only a sketch, photo or description of what you would like to create.
From that first idea to the finished product, several steps are involved. To make the process as clear as possible for our customers, we have created a project guide.
What is included in our project guide?
The project guide explains how a project works and what information and files we need to complete it properly and on time.
It includes information about:
We also explain which files we need for graphic design and production. This helps us avoid delays caused by files that have not been supplied correctly.
From idea to finished product
For many projects, we first create a technical cardboard drawing. This defines the shape, construction, fold lines and connections of the product. Based on this drawing, we can create a prototype and check that everything works as intended before production starts.
The graphic design is usually supplied by the customer or their designer. We make sure that the design is technically suitable for production.
By agreeing on these steps in advance, everyone knows what is needed and when.
Good preparation makes a difference
A cardboard project can involve many different elements, such as different sizes, quantities, colours, printed materials, assembly or multiple delivery addresses.
That is why it helps to provide as much information as possible at the start of the project. The clearer the starting point, the more efficiently we can develop the project.
Our project guide therefore also includes a practical checklist with the information we need from you.
When will you receive the project guide?
We send the project guide together with our quotation. This allows you to read through the process in advance and see what is needed from both sides.
If you have any questions after reading the guide, of course, feel free to contact us.
Do you have an idea but are unsure if it is feasible and curious about the costs? Then request information from Cardboard Design.
