Friesland is a bilingual province. To encourage parents and children to use Frisian and promote multilingualism, all newborns in Friesland receive a cardboard book box with several Frisian-language books from the province of Fryslân.
In this gift, new parents can read about raising children multilingually, and it also contains a number of books. The idea is that all children growing up in Friesland will encounter different languages and that this offers opportunities for language development.
In collaboration with Studio Kasboek, we were able to develop the outer packaging in book form for this beautiful gift. The packaging for this gift is a box in book form, made of corrugated cardboard. It is expected that approximately 6000 newborn Frisians will receive such a beautiful cardboard book box over the next 4 years.
