Recycling Paper and Cardboard

At Karton Design, we recycle all our waste cardboard. We put all the cardboard scraps left after cutting into our baler. The press compresses everything, and when it's full, a full bale comes out. This bale is collected by a recycling company, allowing new paper and cardboard to be made from it. At Paper and Cardboard, they have created 3 nice animations about this in simple language.

This is because we can reuse paper very well time and time again, which is why most new paper is made from old paper. So keep bringing your old paper to the paper bin!

We call this pulp; it's similar to papier-mâché. This wet pulp is then sieved, flattened between large round rollers, and dried. At the end of the machine, a very large roll of paper is created. This roll then goes to other companies, such as printing companies, who make paper and cardboard products from it.

And the beauty is: if you no longer have any use for it, you bring it to the paper bin, and the paper factories simply make new paper from it again.
