On December 26, 2020, EditieNL on RTL4 dedicated a segment to cardboard. What can you do with the cardboard packaging from your online orders? Can you make something nice with it? We certainly knew how to handle that.

Online ordering is all the rage. Many products are delivered to homes in cardboard boxes. These boxes usually end up in the recycling bin, but how cool would it be to make a lamp from the cardboard boxes yourself? As seen in the EditieNL clip, for example.

Make your own cardboard lamp

To make our cardboard hanging lamp Oom Willem size S yourself, you can download a PDF here and print it on A3 paper. You trace it onto the box and cut it out with a sharp knife. Note: Don't forget to put something under your box. This prevents damage to your table. The PDF contains detailed instructions for making the lamp and tips and tricks for maintaining the lamp
